(3) For the period 1 January 2000 to 30 June 2000, can the Minister advise of the estimated cost and approximate commencement or publishing dates of - (a) advertising campaigns (television, print and radio); (b) pamphlets, brochures, bulletins and other forms of printed information, excluding annual reports and "in-house" bulletins; and (c) public relations campaigns and events management? Mr MARSHALL replied: Ministry of Sport and Recreation (1) (a)-(c) The Ministry plans to spend $140,000 on advertising, pamphlets, public relations and events management for 1999/2000. (2)-(3) It is expected that the following advertising, pamphlets, brochures, public relations and events management will occur prior to June 30 2000: Western Australian Sport & Recreation Directory 3rd Edition Jan 2000 ($10,000 Jan) The Prevention of Child Abuse within Sport & Recreation ($2,000, Feb) Club risk management manual ($2,000, to be commenced in February) Brochure advertising the facilitation skills training seminar ($200, Feb) Case study bulletins: Altone Park Rec Centre; Waroona Rec & Aquatic Centre; Leeming Rec Centre; Rockingham Skate Park; Dalwalinu pool; Altone Park Sports Pavillion & Swan Leisure Plan ($7,000, Feb) CSRFF Applications booklet & forms ($5,000, June) BOS Magazine ($8,000, March, June) Sports Census 1999 ($16,150, March) Proceedings of the 1999 State Trails Conference ($4,300, Jan) Second edition of the State Trails Inventory ($2,500, Feb) Trailswest info brochure ($1,300, Feb) Trainswest funding and TAC brochures ($1,000, Feb) Great Southern Regional MSR newsletter (no cost, Jan & April) Central South Regional MSR newsletter (no cost, Jan & April) Goldfields MSR newsletter (no cost, Feb & June) Western Australian Institute of Sport (1) (a) (Television) $80,000.00 in kind from Channel 7 (offset by sponsorship) $20,000.00 production of television commercial (Print) $1,000.00 new range of adverts for sporting associations $1,500.00 new range of adverts for sporting associations $2,000.00 miscellaneous advertising (b) $1000.00 promotional photographs of athletes. $1,500.00 advertisements for sporting associations publication. $2,000.00 miscellaneous.
