Synopsis | The purpose of this Bill is to -
amend the Mental Health Act 1996 to address certain matters relating to the Chief Psychiatrist's powers pending the commencement of the Mental Health Act 2013; and
amend the Mental Health Act 2013 by inserting Parts 28 and 29 for the purposes of repealing the Mental Health Act 1996, the Mental Health (Consequential Provisions) Act 1996 and certain subsidiary legislation made under those Acts and making certain transitional arrangements; and
amend the Criminal Law (Mentally Impaired Accused) Act 1996, the Guardianship and Administration Act 1990, the Hospitals and Health Services Act 1927 and certain other Acts. |
