SynopsisThe purpose of this Bill is for an Act relating to the provision of water services and the regulation of water service providers, and for related purposes. The aim of the Bill is to consolidate and modernise existing water service legislation, make it clearer and easier to use, and improve regulatory processes and protection of water service customers.

Royal Assent given 3 Sep 2012 as Act No. 24 of 2012. Different sections of this Act come into operation on Royal Assent and Proclamation. For details refer to Commencement Clause of the Bill (see also Assent and Commencement information for Acts)
