The purpose of this Bill is to ratify an agreement between the State and BHP Billiton Limited ('BHPB") and BHP Billiton Minerals Pty. Ltd. ('BHPM') for the termination of: an agreement made on 7 October 1952 and subsequently varied, titled the Broken Hill Proprietary Steel Industry Agreement Act 1952 ('the 1952 Agreement"); and
an agreement made on 18 November 1960 and subsequently varied, titled the Broken Hill Proprietary Company's Integrated Steel Works Agreement Act 1960 (the 1960 Agreement),
between the State and BHPB (under its former name, The Broken Hill Proprietary Company Limited). |
