Electricity Industry Amendment Bill 2007

Long Title The purpose of this Bill is to provide the heads of power for regulations to be made to permanently exempt the Wholesale Electricity Market arrangement in Western Australia from the licensing requirements under Chapter 7 of the Corporations Act 2001of the Commonwealth (the "Corporation Act"). The Bill will provide certainty for market participants regarding the application of Chapter 7 of the Corporations Act 2001to the Wholesale Electricity Market arrangements in Western Australia.

This Act came into operation on Royal Assent - Royal Assent given 21 Dec 2007 as Act No. 32 of 2007
