Fire and Emergency Services Legislation Amendment Bill 2001

SynopsisThe purpose of this Bill is to amend the Fire and Emergency Services Authority of Western Australia Act 1998 to include provisions relating to the State Emergency Service (SES) and Volunteer Marine Rescue Services (VMRS). The Bill seeks to recognise the SES and VMRS and to provide the functions and powers necessary for their members to operate effectively.

Royal Assent given 20 Nov 2002 as Act No. 38 of 2002. Different sections of this Act come into operation on Royal Assent and Proclamation. For details refer to Commencement Clause of the Bill (see also Assent and Commencement information for Acts)
