Fines, Penalties and Infringement Notices Enforcement Amendment Bill 2002
Bill No.

Synopsis
The purpose of this Bill is to address the anomaly in the legislation by allowing time to pay be afforded to offenders following the issue of a warrant of execution in fines enforcement actions. The amendments will increase the time to pay options for offenders and are consistent with the Government's justice system initiatives by improving access to justice and reducing the rate of imprisonment.
