Criminal Investigation (Identifying People) Amendment Bill 2012

Long Title The purpose of this Bill is to deal with various recommendations emanating from the Statutory Review of the Criminal Investigation (Identifying People) Act 2002 (the Act) and to consequently amend the Criminal Investigation Act 2006. This Bill also contains a series of recommendations for future proofing the Act to enable the Act to apply to new types of identifying particulars as they become available and enabling new types of identifying particulars to be prescribed in regulations.
