SynopsisThe purpose of this Bill is to repeal the Grain Marketing Act 1975, introduce new grain marketing arrangements for the Western Australian grains industry and effect the merger of the Grain Pool of WA and Co-operative Bulk Handling Limited. This is to ensure the continued prosperity of the Western Australian grain industry while allowing it to keep pace with changes occurring both nationally and internationally.

Royal Assent given 25 Oct 2002 as Act No. 30 of 2002. Different sections of this Act come into operation on Royal Assent and Proclamation. For details refer to Commencement Clause of the Bill (see also Assent and Commencement information for Acts)
