Alcohol and Drug Authority Repeal Bill 2005

SynopsisThe purpose of this Bill is to repeal the Alcohol and Drug Authority Act 1974.The Bill dissolves the Western Australian Alcohol and Drug Authority and as a consequence -
(a) staff employed by the Authority will be employed by the Minister for Health in his incorporated capacity pursuant to section 7 of the Hospitals and Health Services Act 1927; and
(b) all liabilities, rights and assets of the Authority will be appropriately invested in the Minister for Health.

This Act comes into operation 28 days after it receives the Royal Assent
