SynopsisThe purpose of this Bill is for an Act relating to the conduct of commercial arbitrations, to repeal the Commercial Arbitration Act 1985 and for other purposes. This seeks to achieve the objective of facilitating the fair and final resolution of commerical disputes by impartial tribunals without unnecessary delay or expense.

StatusAssented to 08/29/2012
Royal Assent given 29 Aug 2012 as Act No. 23 of 2012. Different sections of this Act come into operation on Royal Assent and Proclamation. For details refer to Commencement Clause of the Bill (see also Assent and Commencement information for Acts)
