SynopsisThe purpose of this Bill is to establish the necessary overarching emergency management arrangements for Western Australia's emergency services, including local governments and support organisations. This includes matters relating to framework/infrastructure, policy, planning and coordination, and additional powers in the event of a higher-level emergency such as an 'emergency situation' or a 'state of emergency'.

Royal Assent given 27 Sep 2005 as Act No. 15 of 2005. This Act comes into operation on a day fixed by Proclamation (see Assent and Commencement information for Acts)
