Synopsis
The purpose of this Bill is to repeal the current
Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1920
and provide for the protection of animals by regulating the use of animals for scientific purposes, and prohibiting cruel, inhumane or improper treatment of animals.
Status
Assented to 11/15/2002
