Synopsis
The purpose of this Bill is to repeal the amendments imposed on the university Acts (
Curtin University of Technology Act 1966
;
Edith Cowan Universlity Act 1984
;
Murdoch University Act 1973
;
University of Notre Dame Australia Act 1989
and the
University of Western Australia Act 1911
) by the
Voluntary Membership of Student Guilds and Associations Act 1994.
Also, to amend the Acts of the public universities in relation to the Guilds and to amend the Acts of the public universities to enable them to establish a student amentities and service fee.
Status
Assented to 01/03/2003
Royal Assent given 3 Jan 2003 as Act No. 44 of 2002. Different sections of this Act come into operation on Royal Assent and Proclamation. For details refer to Commencement Clause of the Bill (see also
