The Bill makes amendments to the Land Tax Assessment Act 2002, the Stamp Act 1921 and the Taxation Administration Act 2003 to -
correct an anomaly in the land tax rebate for certain land on which a private residence is being constructed; require an owner of land to notify the Commissioner of State Revenue of errors and omissions in their land tax assessment notice; clarify the time period for making an application for stamp duty corporate reconstruction exemption in certain circumstances; allow responsible parties under special tax return arrangements to correct minor errors; and
provide clarification where the Commissioner seeks directions on an objection. |
