Industry and Technology Development Bill 1997

SynopsisThe purpose of this Bill is to promote the growth and development of industry, trade, science, technology and research in the State; to improve industry efficiency, to encourage the establishment of new industry; to encourage the broadening of the industrial base; and to promote a supportive environment for industry. The Bill provides a more effective framework within which the Government can encourage industry. It also provides for the continuation of the Western Australian Technology and Industry Advisory Council.
