Carers Recognition Bill 2004

Long Title The purpose of the Bill is to formerly recognise carers and their needs as partners in the provision of care for people who are frail, chronically ill or have a disability. The legislation aims at improving the culture of service providers by their involving and partnering with carers in the delivery of care.
Status Assented to
Royal Assent given 28 Oct 2004 as Act No. 37 of 2004. This Act comes into operation on a day fixed by Proclamation (see Assent and Commencement information for Acts)
