Terms of Reference:
Section 173 of the State Administrative Tribunal Act 2004 provides that “As soon as practicable after the end of the period of 2 years after the day on which section 7 comes into operation [that period ended on 1 January 2007] an inquiry into the jurisdiction and operation of the Tribunal is to be conducted…”.

On Tuesday 29 May 2007 the Leader of the House gave notice of a motion that, under the State Administrative Tribunal Act 2004 section 173(b), the function of conducting an inquiry into the jurisdiction and operation of the State Administrative Tribunal be conferred upon the Standing Committee on Legislation. The Legislative Council agreed to that motion on 7 June 2007.
