Position Title:Part-time Education Presenter
Level and Salary:Level 2/3 pro-rata $59,172 - $73,717 per annum

Length of Contract:3 months
Primary Responsibilities and Additional Information:The Parliamentary Education Office is looking for an enthusiastic person to work with the team delivering parliamentary education programs for the promotion, enhancement, awareness, knowledge and understanding of the history, role and functions of the Parliament of Western Australia on behalf of both Houses of Parliament.

You will be required to deliver these parliamentary education programs for school, public and community groups visiting Parliament House, and assist in preparing special parliamentary exhibits and programs.

This three month contract position is offered on a part-time basis over five days, working between 9.00am and 3.00pm, for approximately 25 hours per week. It is anticipated that the applicant will be able to start by 20 March 2017.

The successful applicant will need to meet the following criteria:

Essential
· tertiary qualification or relevant experience;
· excellent oral presentation and written communication skills;
· demonstrated capacity to conduct tours/group presentations;
· ability to work effectively in a small team;
· current working with children clearance

Desirable
· understanding of the legislative process and parliamentary/political system in Western Australia;
· understanding of, and experience with, contemporary information technology.
