Position Title:Casual Chef
Level and Salary:$33.72 - $34.88 per hour (inclusive of 20% casual loading)

Primary Responsibilities and Additional Information:The Parliamentary Refreshment Rooms provide Members of Parliament, staff and visitors with a variety of dining opportunities within Parliament House. Applications are invited from enthusiastic professionals with a passion for food to work in the Catering Services unit of the Parliament of Western Australia.

The Parliament is a prestigious environment and offers generous employment conditions including free parking and free access to a gymnasium.

Successful candidates will need to be suitably qualified, demonstrate exceptionally high standards in food preparation and be familiar with OSH and HACCP procedures.

Duties include preparation and service for a la carte, table d’hôte, buffets and canapés, and assisting the kitchen team with the staff cafeteria and functions.

The successful applicant will be part of a casual labour pool consisting of several capable Chefs who are required to work weekdays only (no weekend work) with the occasional opportunity for additional hours if desired.

Required working hours will be as the business requires and according to candidate availability. An availability roster will be drawn up prior to starting and dates and times can be established well in advance to facilitate other working commitments (i.e. this position may suit a part-timer looking to enhance their income, FIFO Chefs on R&R, Chefs on R&R).
