Answered on 12 September 2017

(1) Yes
(2) The price for each type of timber sold from Barrabup will vary depending on the log grade, the yield per hectare and the distance from the coupe to the customer. Additional factors influencing price also include the cost of felling, extraction, loading and cartage.
Please refer to question 5 for specific timber stumpage prices.
(3) Jarrah sawlogs are planned to be sold to Nannup Timber Processing (NTP), Auswest and Whitelands. The distribution of logs is unclear at present, pending advice from NTP regarding the suspension of its green mill operations.
The majority of firewood logs will be supplied to customers located in Busselton. Charcoal logs will be supplied to Simcoa. The quantity of logs will depend on the outcome of the assessment for the presence of old-growth forest.
(4) Not applicable.
