(1) $29,413 (inc. GST)
(2) Yes. – with respect to flora.
No – with respect to fauna.
(3) The procedures for assessment of fauna values firstly predict the likelihood of the presence of fauna species, and then further action, including surveys, may be required. A Fauna Distribution Information System report was generated (provided at 7(b)) and no further action was required by Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA).
(4)
(a) $2,663
(b) [See tabled paper no.]
(5) Yes
(6) Not applicable

(7)
(a) I am unable to provide you with a specific cost for the desktop flora and fauna survey as the work is performed under a broader works and services agreement between DBCA and FPC.
I can offer you a briefing on how the DBCA undertakes activities for FPC under the agreement in reference to the Barrabup Coupe.
(b) [See tabled paper no.]
(8) Yes
(9) Not applicable
(10)
(a) An assessment on the impacts on water systems was conducted in the preparation of the Forest Management Plan 2014 – 2023 by the then Department of Parks and Wildlife resulting in the establishment of a network of river and stream reserves from which timber harvesting is excluded.
(b) This work was undertaken in the preparation of the Forest Management Plan 2014-2023 and costs for individual areas are not maintained.
(c) There have been numerous studies undertaken. The results inform Chapter 4 of the Forest Management Plan 2014-2023.
(11) For planning and preparation of Barrabup, in addition to the flora and dieback surveys listed above, costs (inc GST) are:
- Treemarking $9,471
- Aboriginal Heritage Survey $6,021
- Road construction $65,684
Additional costs that will be incurred prior to harvesting include:
- finalisation of treemarking $3,800
- finalisation of road network and ongoing maintenance is to be determined on an as required basis.
- further Aboriginal Heritage Survey at an estimated cost of $22,592
- old growth assessment is underway and costs are to be finalised.
(12) Where activities are undertaken by FPC staff, the desktop and field components costs are not separately recorded. Where external consultancies are used, there are itemised costs and these have been made available. DBCA staff (desktop) time is not recorded separately for individual coupes. Please see the answer to 7 (a).
