The Scope of work for this project included a major building addition on the southern side of Parliament House consisting of three floors of office accommodation over one floor of covered secure parking.

The proposed design allowed for the following:
Section Drawing - Viewing West

Car parking for 100 vehicles

Three stairs

Two lifts with high standard finish and after hours security

Corridor width of 2300mm

Male and female toilets on each floor

Donnybrook stone facings in lieu of block wood

Double glazing in lieu of single glazing and sunscreens.

Ground Floor Plan

The design allows for lifts to be double-sided entry to permit access to all levels by disabled persons without the need for ramps.

The estimated cost for the new Committee House was $10m in 1988.
