Synopsis

The purpose of this Bill is to - shift the functions of various regulatory and licensing Boards to the Commissioner under the Fair Trading Act 2010; and establish certain investigatory and enforcement powers in relation to certain regulated persons; and enable the establishment of various consumer advisory committees under the Fair Trading Act 2010, and to make amendments to various Acts as a consequence of enacting the Fair Trading Act 2010 and for related purposes.

Royal Assent given 8 Dec 2010 as Act No. 58 of 2010. Different sections of this Act come into operation on Royal Assent and Proclamation. For details refer to Commencement Clause of the Bill (see also Assent and Commencement information for Acts)
