As part of their inquiry into Water Governance, a Sub-Committee, consisting of Hon Barry House and Hon Matt Benson-Lidholm, will be travelling with Suzanne Veletta, Advisory Officer (General) and Jan Paniperis, Committee Clerk to Canberra to meet with representatives from the National Water Commission, the Murray-Darling Basin Commission and the Fenner School of Environment & Society, Australian National University; to Sydney to meet with representatives from the Australian Water Association, the Department of Water and Energy, and the Natural Resources Committee of the Parliament of NSW; to Melbourne to meet with representatives of the Department of Sustainability and Environment, the Water Services Association of Australia, the National Urban Water Governance Program, Monash University; and to Adelaide to meet with representatives from the Department of Environment, Heritage & Aboriginal Affairs, the Natural Resources Committee, Parliament of SA and the Water Economics and Management Earth and Environmental Sciences, University of Adelaide, between 13 - 16 April 2008.
