ANZAC Day 2020

23 April 2020 - Parliament
Wreath of red poppies

On ANZAC Day the Parliament of Western Australia remembers all those who have given their lives for this country. While we can’t gather for our traditional memorials this year, at home, we remember.

We join with others in encouraging all Western Australians to participate in the Driveway Dawn Service, standing on their driveways or balconies at 6 am on 25 April in quiet contemplation.

Anzac Day was first observed to commemorate the soldiers who fought at Gallipoli. Learn about the 10 members of the WA Parliament saw service at Gallipoli.
