In the centenary year of Edith Cowan becoming the first woman elected to an Australian Parliament, we asked upper primary students from across the state to tell us what they thought Edith may think about a current social issue. The ‘What would Edith Say?’ competition attracted entries from hundreds of Western Australian students who produced 90-second videos exploring the theme by looking at diverse topics such as racism, equal pay for women and representation. Roleystone Community College was deemed the best entry. Take a look at the winning entry which was one hundred years in the making.
We think Edith would say brilliant!
