Members of Parliament—Election to various roles
Statement
Mr Roger Cook (Kwinana—Premier) (3:42 pm): Consequent to the election held on 8 March 2025, I advise members that I was sworn in as Premier together with the Deputy Premier and all ministers with effect from 19 March 2025. With effect from 17 March 2025, the member for Balcatta was appointed the Leader of the House and the member for Southern River was appointed as government Whip. For the information of members, I table a list of the ministry, our list of ministers' representation in the other house, and the parliamentary sitting dates for 2025.
Mr Basil Zempilas (Churchlands—Leader of the Opposition) (3:42 pm): Mr Speaker, I advise members that I was elected as Leader of the Liberal Party and Leader of the Opposition with effect from 25 March 2025. With effect from the same date, the member for Vasse was elected as Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party, Deputy Leader of the Opposition and Manager of Opposition Business, and that the member for Carine was appointed as opposition Whip.

Mr Shane Love (Mid-West—Leader of the Nationals WA) (3:43 pm): Thank you, Mr Speaker. I advise members that on 24 March 2025 I was re-elected as Leader of the Nationals WA, and the member for Roe was re-elected as Deputy Leader. With effect from 31 March 2025, the member for Central Wheatbelt was appointed as National Party Whip.
