Mullewa Hospital—Redevelopment
151. Ms Kirrilee Warr to the Minister for Health Infrastructure:
I refer to the tender for the long-awaited Mullewa Hospital redevelopment, which closed on 27 March 2025.
(1) Was the tender process successful and when can we expect a contractor to be appointed?
(2) Given that more than eight years have passed since the project was first committed to and funded by the former Liberal–National government, how much longer will the Mullewa community be expected to wait for tangible progress on the new hospital?
Mr John Carey replied:
(1)–(2) To be very clear, the tender is currently under assessment.

I have a supplementary question. Can the minister provide a detailed update on the project timeline, including any delays or obstacles that have arisen since the tender process closed?
Mr John Carey replied:
No. No government would do that. The tender is under assessment.
