Metronet and Westport roads account
33. Hon Steve Martin to the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the Metronet and Westport roads account outlined in the midyear review.
(1) Can the minister please provide a list of roadworks being progressed via the $620 million for roads associated with Metronet?
(2) Can the minister please provide a list of roadworks being progressed via the $121 million for Westport road projects?
Hon Samantha Rowe replied:
I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question and provide the following answer on behalf of the Minister for Transport.
(1) The roadworks are associated with Bayswater station, the Byford rail extension, the Caledonian Avenue level crossing removal, the Morley–Ellenbrook line, the Thornlie–Cockburn Link, the Victoria Park – Canning level crossing removal and the Yanchep rail extension.
(2) Funds will be utilised for land acquisition to support key freight routes.
