Water Corporation—Tier 3 charges
227. Hon Simon Ehrenfeldto the Leader of the House representing the Minister for Water:
Since the introduction of the tier 3 water charges for Water Corporation residential customers using over 500 kilolitres of water annually, for each year since the introduction of the Tier 3 charges, I ask the following.
(1) By suburb and also in total, how many residential customers have been charged for using more than 500 kilolitres of water?
(2) By suburb and also in total, how much revenue has been raised from customers using more than 500 kilolitres of water?
(3) Has the Water Corporation carried out any analysis on the size of households by number or residents impacted by the tier 3 water charges?
Hon Stephen Dawson replied:
I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question and I acknowledge that this is his first question today—congratulations.
(1)–(3) The Water Corporation advises that the requested data involves detailed analysis of its entire WA residential customer base and cannot be provided within the time available. The honourable member is respectfully requested to place the question on notice.
