Environmental Protection (Darling Range Bauxite Mining Proposals) Exemption Order 2023—Section 11(2)
493. Hon Jess Beckerling to the Minister for the Environment:
I refer to Section 11(2) of the Environmental Protection (Darling Range Bauxite Mining Proposals) Exemption Order 2023 issued to Alcoa under the Environmental Protection Act 1986.
(1) Have all monthly reports required under this section of the exemption order to be submitted by the appointed compliance monitor been received by the CEO?
(a) If yes to (1), can the minister please provide these reports?
(2) Is the minister aware of any incidents of failure to comply with conditions of the exemption order by Alcoa since it came into effect in 2023?
(a) If yes to (2), can the minister please provide details of these incidents and what has been done to address them?

(1) Yes.
(a) Yes. I table the monthly compliance assessment reports.

(2) There have been no reported incidents of failure to comply with conditions of the exemption order by Alcoa.
(a) Not applicable.
