Road Trauma Trust Account

511. Hon Steve Martinto the minister representing the Minister for Road Safety:

I refer to budget paper No 3, page 290, which indicates that drawdowns from the Road Trauma Trust Account are going towards infringement and demerit point processing by the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure.

(1) How much is being drawn from the account for this purpose each year from 2025–26 to 2028–29?

(2) What deliverables or outcomes have been set in return for this funding?

Hon Matthew Swinbourn replied:

An excellent question. I thank the member. I think it might be the first question on road safety.

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.

The following answer has been provided by the Minister for Road Safety. The answer to the first part is provided in a table so I seek leave to have it incorporated in Hansard.

Leave granted for the following material to be incorporated.
