Housing Australia Future Fund

562. Hon Tim Cliffordto theparliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Housing and Works:

(1) How many social and affordable homes funded by the federal Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF) have been delivered in WA?

(2) How many of these homes meet Liveable Housing Australia's silver standard?

(3) How many social and affordable homes funded by the HAFF are in the pipeline in WA?

(4) How many of the homes in the pipeline are designed to meet Liveable Housing Australia's silver standard?

Hon Dr Katrina Stratton replied:

I thank the member for some notice of the question. I provide the following on behalf of the Minister for Housing and Works.

(1)–(4) The WA Labor government's record $5.8 billion investment in housing and homelessness measures has been bolstered by a strong relationship with the federal government. Contract close for all state-led successful projects across HAFF rounds 1 and 2 was reached with Housing Australia by June 2025. Many of these projects are density, infill projects requiring significant site preparation and planning, and works have already commenced. A total of 2,342 social and affordable dwellings in state-led projects will be delivered through the HAFF. All dwellings will be delivered to the minimum silver liveable standard. The Department of Housing and Works is unable to advise on HAFF projects that are not state-led, including the quantum of dwellings or their accessibility standard.
