611. Hon Nick Goiran to the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Sport and Recreation:
I refer to the parliamentary secretary's answer to my question without notice on 24 June 2025, which informed the house that the Combat Sports Commission met with the minister on 22 May 2025 regarding the permit application for the so-called bare-knuckle fighting event.
(1) Who was in attendance at that meeting?
(2) In what capacity was each person attending?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question and provide the following answer on behalf of the Minister for Sport and Recreation. The answer was prepared on Tuesday 12 August.
(1)–(2) The Minister for Sport and Recreation; chief of staff, office of Hon Rita Saffioti, MLA; senior policy adviser, office of Hon Rita Saffioti, MLA; chair of the Combat Sports Commission; executive director Sport and Recreation, Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries; and the executive manager Combat Sports, Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries attended the meeting.
