Overseas air travel
612. Hon Tjorn Sibma to the Leader of the House representing the Premier:
I refer to the report of overseas air travel tabled on 14 August and note that eight WA government representatives, including the outgoing Agent General, John Langoulant, attended the Offshore Northern Seas Conference in Norway at a cost of $73,000.
(1) Why was it necessary for eight government representatives to attend?
(2) Has the government received any reports on the outcomes or relevance of the conference to WA?
(3) If yes to (2), will the minister table those reports?
(4) If no to (2), why were no reports provided given the significant attendance?
(5) How many Western Australian government representatives attended the same conference in 2022?
Hon Stephen Dawson replied:
I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. The following answer is provided on behalf of the Premier.
(1)–(5) Due to the level of detail required, it is not possible to provide an answer in the timeframe available. The honourable member may wish to put this question on notice.
