Biodiversity Conservation Bill 2015

Long Title The purpose of this bill is to create an Act to provide for - the conservation and protection of biodiversity and biodiversity components in Western Australia; and the ecologically sustainable use of biodiversity components in Western Australia; and the repeal of the Wildlife Conservation Act 1950 and the Sandalwood Act 1929; and consequential amendments to other Acts, and for related purposes.
Status Assented to
Royal Assent given 21 Sep 2016 as Act No. 24 of 2016. Different sections of this Act come into operation on Royal Assent and Proclamation. For details refer to Commencement Clause of the Bill (see also Assent and Commencement information for Acts)
