The purpose of this Bill is to -
confer functions in relation to the provision of social services, the provision of financial and other assistance, and other matters concerning the well-being of children, other individuals, families and communities; make provisions about the protection and care of children, the employment of children, and child care services; repeal the Child Welfare Act 1947, the Welfare and Assistance Act 1961 and the Community Services Act 1972. |
