This is a green bill for public comment, tabled by the Minister for Police and Emergency Services in the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday, 27 November 2002. The proposed legislation covers a wide range of issues for sex workers including licensing, the location and control of brothels and the establishment of a Prostitution Control Board to oversee the sex industry in Western Australia. The proposed new changes are subject to a three-month public consultation period and the deadline for public submissions will be close of business Friday 7 February 2003. |
