Long Title |
The purpose of this Bill is to make amendments to the Electricity Corporations Act 1994to provide for the restructure of Western Power Corporation. The Bill provides for the establishment of four new Government owned corporations including their functions, powers and governance arrangements as well as providing for the transfer of assets and liabilities from Western Power: the Electricity Generation Corporation; Electricity Retail Corporation; Electricity Networks Corporation; and
Regional Power Corporation. |

Notes
This Bill comes into operation on Royal Assent except for the following - Parts 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, Part 9 sections 139,140, 142, 143, 144, 145, 146, 147, 148, 149, 150, 151(1), 177 and Schedules 1 to 6 come into operation on Proclamation.
