This bill replaces the bill entitled the Heritage Bill 1999. The purpose of this Bill is to strengthen heritage protection in WA, simplify the registration process, require State Government agencies to compile their own heritage inventories, extend revaluation provisions to registered places, introduce a new Works Approval process, simplify Heritage Agreement provisions, introduce a new form of Conservation Order and increase monetary penalties for contraventions of the Act. |
