Prostitution Amendment Bill 2007

Synopsis
The Bill gives effect to the Labor Party's policy commitment to reform prostitution laws. To reflect this change, the Prostitution Act will be renamed the Prostitution Reform Act. The purpose of the Bill is to provide a framework for addressing the regulation of prostitution in a manner that is conducive to public health, protects sex workers from exploitation and protects children from being involved in or exposed to prostitution.

Assented to
