The purpose of this Bill is to appropriate out of the Consolidated Fund the sum of $19,277,873.88 for capital payments made during the financial year ended 30 June 1997. These payments, which were of an extraordinary and unforeseen nature, were made under the authority of the Treasurer’s Advance Authorization Act 1996 and charged to the Consolidated Fund under authority of section 28 of the Financial Administration and Audit Act 1985. |
