SynopsisThe purpose of this Bill is to provide for the issue of a document known as a 'Western Australian Photo Card' and for related purposes. The card is intended to serve as photographic proof of identity when conducting certain transactions with government agencies, banks and other businesses. The purpose of the card is its use as a means of substantiating the cardholder's identity, age and/or residential address.
Status Assented to
Royal Assent given 26 Feb 2014 as Act No. 1 of 2014. Different sections of this Act come into operation on Royal Assent and Proclamation. For details refer to Commencement Clause of the Bill (see also Assent and Commencement information for Acts)
