Long Title | The purpose of this Bill is to update and modernise the law in relation to family provision. In particular, this Bill will enable a claim to be made against a deceased estate by a step child in two limited circumstances, and where there exists a duty to maintain a step child or there is a legitimate expectation. The Bill will also address the following areas of family law: kinship relationships; costs; undisclosed property; interim orders; probate and letters of administration; and
evidence. |
