Child Care Services Bill 2007 |
Bill No. | 208 |
Long Title | The purpose of this Bill is to amend the Children and Community Services Act 2004 to enable the transfer of the child care licensing functions of the Department for Child Protection (as the Department is now called) to the newly established Department for Communities. This will have a two fold effect of firstly ensuring that the primary focus of the Department for Child Protection is on protecting vulnerable children in our community and supporting their families and secondly that there is a clear focus on the important function of licensing child care services in our State. |
Status | Assented to 07/03/2007 Royal Assent given 3 Jul 2007 as Act No. 19 of 2007. Different sections of this Act come into operation on Royal Assent and Proclamation. For details refer to Commencement Clause of the Bill (see also Assent and Commencement information for Acts) |
