Solicitor-General Amendment Bill 2006

Long Title

The purpose of the Bill is to amend the Solicitor-General Act 1969, so that the Solicitor-General has a fixed term tenure, not exceeding seven years and is eligible for reappointment. The Bill also amends the Solicitor-General Act 1969 so that the Solicitor General is no longer entitled to a judicial pension.
