Criminal Law Amendment (Out-of-Control Gatherings) Bill 2012

Long Title The purpose of this Bill is to amend The Criminal Code and the Criminal Investigation Act 2006 to introduce a new offence for a person who organises a gathering that becomes out of control, and a defence if the person can prove they took reasonable measures to prevent such gatherings from becoming out of control.
Status Assented to
Royal Assent given 6 Dec 2012 as Act No. 56 of 2012. Different sections of this Act come into operation on Royal Assent and Proclamation. For details refer to Commencement Clause of the Bill (see also Assent and Commencement information for Acts)
