Long Title |
The Bill's purpose is to ensure that the Freedom of Information Act 1992 (the FOI Act) remains an effective tool in ensuring open and accountable government, by providing an effective regime for access to the information held by government. The Bill includes amendments -
relating to access to documents under the FOI Act; relating to the determination of complaints; relating to the ongoing review of the FOI Act and its operation; and
which address practical problems relating to the operation of the FOI Act, and which are intended to enhance the effective operation of the FOI Act. |
