| Long Title |
The purpose of this Bill is to establish a registration system for Crown Land under the Torrens system of land registration by substantially amending the Transfer of Land Act 1893. This Bill also removes the compulsory acquisition, resumption and compensation provisions from the Land Act 1933 and Public Works Act 1902. The Bill also removes the creation and dedication of roads, streets and ways from Division I of Part XII of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1960. |
